USBA Staff Answers Our Most Frequently Asked Questions

U.S. Baseball Academy is the nation’s largest network of baseball camps. For 25 years, U.S. Baseball Academy has been helping youth players prepare for their season and improve their skills. In 1999, we developed our Spring Training concept after running a series of successful summer and spring break camps. The company has seen exponential growth, going from 16 camps in 2003 to 225 camps in 2015. Growing national attention and demand has spurred expansion to new markets and states each year, making us the largest baseball academy franchise in the world.

The biggest advantage of our program is that U.S. Baseball Academy hires and trains local high school and/or college coaches to run our baseball camps. Our coaches are professionals who make a living coaching baseball. We maintain quality control by providing each location with our weekly program and the necessary equipment to run the camp, as well as train the staff.

Our unique camp format allows around 200 players to attend, spread out over a 4.5 or 5 hour period. We take a maximum of about 30 players per hour for the hitting camps and between 10 and 15 pitchers per hour, depending on the size of the facility. The important thing to remember is that we provide a player-coach ratio. If we add players, we add coaches.

U.S. Baseball Academy runs drills according to the ability level of each player and each group within the hour. We stress the importance of coaching each player at his own level. A coach might work with a struggling player on making contact with the ball, then, if the next player is more advanced, work with him on hitting outside pitches to the opposite field. Older and more experienced players work on more advanced concepts as the week’s progress. The level of instruction changes throughout the day and throughout the program.

The registration process for a U.S. Baseball Academy Spring Training is fast and easy. Sign up online anytime or over the phone, Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm eastern time. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with your dates and times. No payment is necessary at the time of registration, but we do ask that you submit payment within 7 days so that we can ensure we have enough coaches for each session. Once payment is submitted, you will receive a payment confirmation with more details. The week before your camp starts, we will send one final reminder with location details, equipment checklists and other important details. At any time, if you have questions, you can contact us via email at or via phone at 866-622-4487. We will also send you tips and helpful articles throughout the fall and winter to keep your player entertained while they wait for camp to start.
